We are being task with designing new water retention ponds however WaterAid has already implement 11 water retention ponds in Loidahar. So is there problem that the design on the current retention ponds do not address or is EWB just looking designs that are more cost effective, suitable to Loidahar specific geography or make better use of the villages available resources.

        Hi James,

The existing water retention systems work really well and service the community at a village/sub-village level. Project Opportunity 2.1 is looking at water retention ponds that can service the community at a household level. These could be used to support small quantities of fish or used as a domestic water point for farming animals.

        Cheers,
        Anthony
