      Hi,
Thankyou for your reply on the invasive weed olive hymenachne. I am wondering if there has been any native hymenachne reported. Atlas of Living things has recorded some in the general area particularly Hymenachne acutigluma but I would like to confirm its presence.

      Kind regards,

      Krystle

        Hi again,

I’ve been having some difficulty locating references to Hymenachne acutigluma (native hymenachne) and Hymenachne amplexicaulis (olive hymenachne) within the WetlandInfo database for Lama Lama National Park:

        https://wetlandinfo.detsi.qld.gov.au/wetlands/facts-maps/wildlife/?AreaID=national-park-lama-lama-cypal

I was wondering if you might be able to advise whether these species are recorded under a different dataset or if there is another resource where this information may be available.

        Thank you again.

        Kind regards,
        Krystle

          Hi Krystle,

The Lama Lama website states: Our priority weeds for management are rubbervine, sicklepod, lantana, gamba grass, giant rats tail and olive hymenachne. confirming the presence of the weed.

I am not 100% sure about where invasive weeds would otherwise be recorded. However, I did find this Management Statement by Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service

          Hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Evelyn
