      Hi All,

Our group was wondering how we can work around not having any exact details of the land in an area, specifically the ground environment of a river crossing, soil type, heights, depths etc.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to find this information without on-site surveying it would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks

        Hi Tessa,

Thank you for your question. I understand the difficulty of progressing in your project without all the information you need. I would recommend reading the second question on the FAQ page. In short, making assumptions is completely okay as long as your decision-making is recorded and explained in your report.

I have some information on soil composition that I’ve answered in a different question that relates to housing. If it is any help: Remote Cyclone-Proofing Housing Query.

        All the best,
        Evelyn
