      Hi EWB,

I have seen quite a few IBC tanks in the waste photos and I am planning to use them as part of my group’s waste-to-resource project. Could you guys please let us know if there are a large number of these containers on the island?

      Cheers,
      Tony

        Hi Tony,

The IBC tanks are labelled as sodium hypochlorite, a common chemical used for water treatment. We saw a few scattered on-site, but we are unsure of the total volume. For your design, you may assume that a steady supply of this chemical might be needed, and therefore, you can use a number of these tanks in your waste-to-resource project.

        I hope that helps.

        Regards,
        Jean
