    Hi
    Earlier, it was mentioned that common boats may include traditional dugout canoes.

    Where do they come from?
    Do local people produce them or get them from another island, or even PNG?
    And these traditional boats, do they remain single log with side outrigger, or are they currently canoe-like with outrigger?

    One other concern is who is paying for this transition; it can become quite costly, and people often are reluctant to change. can we assume that some sort of government support will be available (grants, rebates, subsidies, funds,…).
