      Hi,

      Is there any record of historical or recent flood data of Saibai Island (flood heights, fatalities, disease, economic loss, etc.)? We have only found an extreme water level study from Systems Engineering Australia in 2011 predicting flood height using modelling software.

        Along with this enquiry, we are also looking to answer questions like:

        How far into the township does it usually flood? (We only found data stating it once travelled 200m from the coast of Saibai Village)

        and

        How frequent is flooding in Saibai? It stated online that it was ‘several times a year, but we wanted data so we can use it to emphasize the need for flood barriers.
