Hello, I would just like to ask if the 250,000L Water Tank in Port Stewart Ranger base uses some sort of insulation within the tank to help reduce water evaporation. I would assume so correct?

If so, is it possible for information to be provided on the material used the tank’s insulation?

Also, is there more of this material stored in the base’s storage?

      Kind Regards,

          Hi Gabriel,

          Thank you for your patience.

I don’t believe there is an insulation liner to prevent evaporation. Evaporation would be controlled by the enclosed design i.e. the lid.

Water tanks are usually lined with a food-grade liner to ensure the water stays fresh and to prevent contamination. However, there is no excess liner stored at the ranger base.

          I hope this helps.

          Kind regards,
          Evelyn
