Hi, we’re doing an EWB report on Pu Ngaol Village, with our aim to make motorbikes more accessible to those with lower limb impairment.

We were looking at the resources in Pu Ngaol Village to construct our solution and couldn’t find wood. Is wood a readily available material in Pu Ngaol Village, and if so, how much does wood cost?

      Thanks

        Hi Daniel,

These articles suggest that bamboo harvesting is common in Mondulkiri:
        > Sustainable bamboo harvesting in Sre Preah Community Protected Area in Mondulkiri Province
        > Re-thinking benefits of community protected areas in Mondulkiri, Cambodia

        I hope this helps.

        Regards,
        Jean

Is hardwood such as the hard rubber tree readily available?

            Hi Ian,

Are you asking about the hardwood’s (specific from rubber tree) availability for the purpose of construction?

            Regards,
            Jean
