      Hey, I wanted to know if there is any data on the annual carbon emissions of the AIMS Mk5 system used as the weather station on Saibai Island?

        The AIMS Mk5 weather stations, such as the one on Saibai Island, use sensors like the Vaisala WXT520, which are designed for low power consumption. While the official AIMS metadata does not explicitly confirm solar power usage, similar stations in remote areas typically operate using solar panels with battery storage due to the logistical difficulty of grid power access. This approach is consistent with remote environmental monitoring best practices.

        You can assume that this system is solar powered, making the annual carbon emissions negligible.
