      Dear EWB Administrators,
      I hope all is well

      I was wondering what the current fuel reliance for the water pumps look like, I know that a solar powered pump was installed with a backup diesel generator, is this backup generator regularly used? Are the previous diesel pumps still installed and regularly utilised? Just trying to get an understanding on the scale of fuel usage for the water supply system.

        Hi Maclaine,

        Yes, they are using it particularly during the end period of dry season as the Stewart river dries during that period and they have to use fire pump to fill up the over head tank that supplies water for non drinking purposes.
