      Hey guys,

My group and I have chosen to use some modification of traditional fish traps as our solution. Our main modification of the traditional fishing method (stone walls, spear-fishing trapped fish), is finding deteriorated reef and revatilise it or possibly creating new reef by using MARRS stars outside of multiple traps. We were wondering if this was actually viable and if there were any areas that we could actually build these traps? Thank you.

        Hi Albert,

That’s a great topic that we’re hoping to see more of. Check our Interactives: 360° Site Walkthroughs, specifically the Dungarra and Ellie Point and Taylor’s Point, known as fishing areas and labelled as potential sites for development. Perhaps do more research of each area and also take a look at the surroundings and assess if any of the sites are conducive to your proposed solutions (i.e. sourcing the materials, build and set-up, etc.)

        I hope this helps.

        Regards,
        Jean
