There is currently a lack of infrastructure and notification systems for emergency situations. During our scoping process, we learned that the local police chief and his team is responsible for managing emergencies and coordinating disaster response. They face challenges due to inadequate communication methods, relying on handheld 5W civilian radios.
Additionally, they often navigate difficult road conditions, using motorbikes to enhance mobility on the mountainous terrain. However, this reliance on motorbikes hinders their ability to respond effectively to serious incidents that necessitate the medevac of villagers.
