Loidahar, much like other rural communities in Timor-Leste are agricultural based.
All families have their own farms, and are dotted around the village along the mountainous terrain. You can view a typical storage system in the 360 interactives (360 Agriculture and Videos).
Post harvest losses are generally attributed to unsuitable storage conditions (climate, pests) and poor market linkages and connections to understand demands and opportunities (e.g. the farmer we interviewed had two 1kg bags of cacao beans that we had trouble selling).
