According to our scoping team who went there, they are unaware of any unused facilities except for the church, which was closed to the community due to structural issues.
It’s good to see you have these ideas to incorporate into your design. Note that TSIRC, as your key stakeholder, decides on facilities and services and governs other Torres Strait islands. For example, they might trial certain services/facilities on different islands and roll them out on Saibai Island later.
I suggest you include this in your recommendations to the Council as part of your design proposal.
