Have there been any soil tests in and around Laidohar, or do we know what kind of agricultural species would grow well? I’ve read a lot about coffee and cacao production in Timor-Leste, are any of these prominent in Laidohar yet?

        Hi Eli,

We do not have data on soil tests in the village but it is known that the soil is rich and fertile, allowing farmers to cultivate a range of crops.
The climate and environment in Loidahar and Timor-Leste make it suitable to grow:
        – Maize
        – Cassava
        – Coffee
        – Cacao
        – Rice
        – Banana and tropical fruits
All of which are grown in Loidahar.

This may be a useful resource: https://www.tradeinvest.tl/node/22#:~:text=Agricultural%20Products,coconut%20oil%2C%20and%20vanilla).

        Hope this helps.

        Kind regards,
        Evelyn
