My Group has pivoted to Design option 6.3.
We are developing our final design option and had some questions that could affect it’s design. The basics of the design is that it is a filtration system that fits between a house and the rainwater tank and filters water going from tank to house.

The group was wondering if the houses have pumps to pump water from the rainwater tanks that can be seen near the houses at Upper Camp?

If details can’t be provided, the team will assume that there is pumps to focus the design scope on filtration.

        Hi Claude,

Thank you for your question. It is great to hear that your group is progressing with the technical elements and design.

Currently, there is only one outlet from the rainwater harvesting tank so households collect water manually based on the their requirements. As such, there is no pumps connecting the tank to the houses. I have been informed by our First Nations Engineering Team that there are plans to provide connections to each house in upper camp in the near future. With this in mind, your group could still focus on the filtration after these connections will be implemented. You could put a note in your report that the scope of your project only extends to filtration at a household level on the assumption that connections from the water tanks will be implemented.

        I hope this helps.

        Kind regards,
        Evelyn
